Hey everyone, I got a couple questions that I hope some of you can take the time to answer and help me out with...
I've been practicing archery at a very part time basis for the last 2 years, i'd go shooting maybe once a week or two. Anyways, i've been using the Samick Sage 40lb and a Hungarian horsebow that is also 40lb. I have more time now to truly practice the sport now and I had the $ so I ordered a Bear Archery Grizzly 50lb bow. So I guess my questions are.....
- I use wooden arrows from amazon, 100 grain, 31 inches across, all "hand made". They have always been very reliable for me compared to carbon arrows, and are very durable and never lose the nocks or arrow tips. Even though it says that they are applicable for 40-60lb bows, can they work for the Grizzly? Or do any of you have any other recommendations?
- This bow comes with a Flemish twist Dacron string, very different from the other strings I have, mainly because as I was stringing the bow with my bow stringer, as I was sliding the string down the bows limb, some of the twist was coming undone to fit around the limb as I was stringing it. Is this normal? Is there any extra care I should consider with these Dacron strings?
