I've found a local archery spot. What to buy to start out?

Hey! Long time lurker. So I've wanted to get into the world of arrow shootin' for YEARS. And I've found an indoor archery area here in town, and I think I'd like to start with some lessons. The conflict is I don't have a bow, or anything for that matter.

Where should I start when looking for a good quality budget bow?

I don't plan to hunt with it just yet (5 year goal) but when that bridge comes, I'm happy to get a bow specifically for hunting Bucks/ ELK.

For now, I'd love something for target practice, and to get the hang of archery until I'm financially ready to upgrade to something longer term.

With this beginner/ intermediate bow, I see it being the only bow I purchase for a minimum of 5 years, and I'd love for it to match the quality for price. As a full time wood worker, I've considered strongly making my own longbow to start, but jeez, I really don't have the time, and I'd rather support someone of quality versus being cheap about it and waiting another year before it can cross my bench-hairs 🤣 any help would be amazing!

Shibuya vs Axcel vs other top end sights?

So my budget has increased and i decided i'm going for a top-level sight for the target style recurve i'm building. It seems that Shibuya and Axcel are the top end, so for anyone who has experience with either one of them, or preferably both, could you tell me the differences, pros and cons, and which one is the best value? i'm planning on buying the most expensive, so the Axcel Achieve XP - Recurve or the Shibuya Ultima RC PRO Carbon Sight . If there's any other top end sights you think are better, let me know. I want this to be the first and last sight that i ever buy, and price doesn't really matter. Another question, on the Shibuya there's an option for "Single mount" and "Double mount." What do those mean? And lastly, is the sight aperture on either of the sights suitable, or is there better after-market apertures that are better? I'm sort of thinking that is something I should be buying from my local shop so i can actually te...

Is there any reason mediterranean and slavic draw shoot from opposite sides of the bow

When the release imparts the same twist on the string? It was my understanding that mediterranean draw has the arrow on the side opposite of the bow of the draw hand because of the twist imparted on the string affecting the arrow on release but that should mean that slavic draw would suffer from that problem. Am I missing something with this? Shouldn't that mean you could use a mediterranean draw on the same side of the bow as the draw hand and not have issues?
