My son has expressed interest in archery this year so I want to get him a bow for Christmas. I did some googling, but it seems my options are limited to bows for kids under 6 or very expensive bows. I’d rather not spend a ton of money just in case he hates it. I was hoping to spend less than $80 on his first bow. Or do you think thats unrealistic?
I’ve been looking at compound bows bc it seems like it would be easier to pull and hold for a kid with not a lot of upper body strength (I could be wrong). He’s not into any other sports or outdoorsy things, so I’m worried about him giving up on archery just bc the bow is hard to pull.
So something relatively easy to get the hang of and learn the absolute basics. I don’t mind upgrading to something better very soon if he loves it.
