Finally made the trek to my local archery shop and wow was that awesome! Tried out as many bows as I could like everyone said I should do and the two that felt the best were the Mathews V3X 29 and the Bowtech solution SS…of course $1,000+ bows lol.
Between the two the bowtech drew smoother but the Mathews felt just as good in every way. I tried out a few “mid-tier” bows but they didn’t feel anywhere close as good to the higher end bows and I can justify the extra money for either the Mathews or bowtech after shooting them and others.
Am I crazy to spend this much money on my first bow? I don’t want to outgrow a bow in terms of features and experience and be back buying another one in a year or two. The cheaper bows just felt awful for a bow that’s still $500 plus compared to the higher end bows.
Any insight into making my first bow purchase is appreciated! Also if anyone shoots those two bows let me know what you think and how you like it!
