Does my bowstring need serving near the loops?

Hi all,

Rookie here. I recently got a recurve bow and have been learning to shoot it. I have never shot any other bows before so I don't know if this is a stupid question or not, however:

The string seems like its starting to unravel near the loops. This is the string the bow came with, and it had a serving in the center where you nock the arrow, but nothing near the loops. I didn't question it and started shooting, but the string looks like it might need to tied down or something. Google doesn't really answer my question. Can anyone help? Much appreciated!

If there's any other top end sights you think are better, let me know. I want this to be the first and last sight that i ever buy, and price doesn't really matter. Another question, on the Shibuya there's an option for "Single mount" and "Double mount." What do those mean? And lastly, is the sight aperture on either of the sights suitable, or is there better after-market apertures that are better? I'm sort of thinking that is something I should be buying from my local shop so i can actually te...
