I'm putting together a IFL bow to use at a club and for eventual competition shooting, I have a few questions:

I am looking at the Samick Ideal riser which is $275 in my country. Limbs I haven't decided on, but I'm open to anything of equal quality, same with the string and arrows. My local archery store is able to build the bow for me and sort out any custom specification related things. I intend on shooting instinctively for the first while anyway so sights and stabilizers aren't an immediate issue.

My question is how far will the Samick Ideal and similar limbs get me in terms of holding up as a quality bow? Will it sustain me for multiple years or will I feel the need to purchase something of higher quality due to shortcomings once I get to a stage where I'm able to shoot competitively?

I did an archery beginner's course a few years back and loved it so much. I'm going to be joining a club soon and I intend on making archery a major hobby in the coming years. I am definitely a beginner but I have some experience shooting. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks mates, stay safe in these uncertain times.

Shibuya vs Axcel vs other top end sights?

So my budget has increased and i decided i'm going for a top-level sight for the target style recurve i'm building. It seems that Shibuya and Axcel are the top end, so for anyone who has experience with either one of them, or preferably both, could you tell me the differences, pros and cons, and which one is the best value? i'm planning on buying the most expensive, so the Axcel Achieve XP - Recurve or the Shibuya Ultima RC PRO Carbon Sight . If there's any other top end sights you think are better, let me know. I want this to be the first and last sight that i ever buy, and price doesn't really matter. Another question, on the Shibuya there's an option for "Single mount" and "Double mount." What do those mean? And lastly, is the sight aperture on either of the sights suitable, or is there better after-market apertures that are better? I'm sort of thinking that is something I should be buying from my local shop so i can actually te...

Is there any reason mediterranean and slavic draw shoot from opposite sides of the bow

When the release imparts the same twist on the string? It was my understanding that mediterranean draw has the arrow on the side opposite of the bow of the draw hand because of the twist imparted on the string affecting the arrow on release but that should mean that slavic draw would suffer from that problem. Am I missing something with this? Shouldn't that mean you could use a mediterranean draw on the same side of the bow as the draw hand and not have issues? Recurve string hitting wrist area...

Hi, I just upgraded my 26lb to a 40lb bow, I'm loving it's power but I am having a consistent issue with hitting my wrist with the string every time I full draw, never with half draw, please see: https://imgur.com/sltnRTI I have tried different hand positions, like rotating my wrist away from the strings path but it just feels so unsteady when drawing. I don't feel like I'm holding it majorly wrong, I never encountered this issue with my 26lb so I'm a little confused about what the cause may be. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am still pretty nooby with archery so perhaps I am just dumb. I believe my brace height is 7.5 inches if that helps, it is a 70" bow, my hand is comfortable on the grip when drawing, it isnt majorly up or down, and looks straight to me, and like i say, rotating it away just leaves me with little control over the bow. Edit: My string is a 70" string, the riser for my new bow is 1" longer than my 26lb...
