Consistency help

I am having big problems with my form between shooting blank bale and at an actual target. I don't know if I would consider it target panic in the traditional sense, but many times when I am shooting at distance (18 meters or less) I "feel" like my form is just falling apart. But when I practice blank bale I feel like it is very strong. I'm confident in my alignment and use of back tension. I have a clean release and a strong follow through etc. And when I shoot at range, I hardly have any confidence in my process. And my arrows have erratic flights, tailing left and right, and are generally just all over the place. I will have times when I get to the line and I feel like the process is good and I have great results. I posted a picture a few days ago of my best group yet at 20 yards. But that kind of group is rare. Also most of the shooting I am doing is in my backyard. That is when I have the most trouble. But when I go the the archery range, I don't feel like I have these problems with my form nearly as bad. I actually shoot halfway decent at the range. But I can not make it there very often because of my work/family schedule. So idk what that is about. I know it can be hard to really diagnosis from only reading text and not seeing me shoot, but any advice would be appreciated.

TL;DR: Me no shoot good sometimes.

Shibuya vs Axcel vs other top end sights?

So my budget has increased and i decided i'm going for a top-level sight for the target style recurve i'm building. It seems that Shibuya and Axcel are the top end, so for anyone who has experience with either one of them, or preferably both, could you tell me the differences, pros and cons, and which one is the best value? i'm planning on buying the most expensive, so the Axcel Achieve XP - Recurve or the Shibuya Ultima RC PRO Carbon Sight . If there's any other top end sights you think are better, let me know. I want this to be the first and last sight that i ever buy, and price doesn't really matter. Another question, on the Shibuya there's an option for "Single mount" and "Double mount." What do those mean? And lastly, is the sight aperture on either of the sights suitable, or is there better after-market apertures that are better? I'm sort of thinking that is something I should be buying from my local shop so i can actually te...

Is there any reason mediterranean and slavic draw shoot from opposite sides of the bow

When the release imparts the same twist on the string? It was my understanding that mediterranean draw has the arrow on the side opposite of the bow of the draw hand because of the twist imparted on the string affecting the arrow on release but that should mean that slavic draw would suffer from that problem. Am I missing something with this? Shouldn't that mean you could use a mediterranean draw on the same side of the bow as the draw hand and not have issues? Are my new arrows overspined?

Are 400 spine, 27" arrows overspined for 30 pound draw weight? The guy just picked the arrows, cut them and gave them to me. my old arrows were 500 spine, 32" so when I said that they looked overspined, he just shrugged and said "the chart says they're ok". Can anyone confirm my doubts? submitted by /u/Astaziel [link] [comments] from newest submissions : Archery https://ift.tt/3pmjVLf via
