Embarrassed the hell out of myself in the middle of a pro shop. I was in there to get the 75# mods on my V3 and wanted to try out a thumb release. The bow tech opened the release I wanted to try and I was so excited to try it, completely forgot to nock an arrow, hit the thumb release and blew my string apart. Immediately called myself a dumb ass and heard a little snicker from somebody else in the shop, which was completely understandable because I was in fact, a dumb ass. They did not have a V3 string in stock, but luckily somebody else had just got custom strings for their V3 27 so I was able to shoot. The bow tech gave the bow a look over and said it looks good, and after shooting it is still shooting well, so hopefully crisis averted. Just thought it was a bit of a funny story and wanted to share, and to spread the well known word, DO NOT DRY FIRE YOUR BOW!
