I'll preface this post this post with I'm still seeking medical advice - just as I've currently been unable to find a medical professional that knew enough about archery to give a confident answer, just seeing if others have had similar experiences.
Just wondering if anyone here has returned to archery post a shoulder dislocation? If so what kind of time frame did you wait prior to returning? What aided in your return to the sport?
I dislocated my draw arm shoulder 8 or 9 weeks ago, even though it was quite a traumatic and damaging dislocation, I've made a pretty good recovery without surgery, with daily physiotherapy. While I'm still quite weak (comparatively speaking) I now have a good range of motion and pain has mostly subsided. Really itching to shoot again, but both physio and doctors say they don't know enough about the sport to whether it would be safe to do.
