So, today while shooting a 57" tall recurve bow (Standard Mediterranean way), I began to wonder what is actually a bow whip and what is not. I shot today without a arm guard and found that sometimes it would not make any contact my arm and sometimes it would hit my arm. However, what occured most often was a small graze followed by a mediocure sting on my forearm. Does that count as a whip and is there a way to stop this from happening?
