My GF and I have two bows: a 45# 62" recurve and a 30# 62". I'm looking at a 64" for myself, as I am overdrawing the 62" and I've outgrown the 30#. So my choices are a 35 pound or a 40 pound. Those seem reasonable.
Now, the conundrum. Since I'm going with a longer bow (due to my height and draw length), is a 35 pound going to feel pretty much like the shorter 30 pound I'm overdrawing? Should I look to the 40 pound instead, and if it feels a little heavy, grow into it? I can also buy a 35# now and 40# limbs down the road. But I don't want to waste the $75 for another set of limbs if it's not what I need.
Thanks for any advice. I realize you all can't make the decision for me, but since I will be ordering it online, rather than from a shop to try out, your help would be much appreciated.
