I have done longbow shooting for awhile and I have found a 35lbs draw weight to fit me. I am interested in starting bow hunting, but I need a compound bow for that.
Surfing around the Internet shops I so far haven't been able to find a single compound under 45 lbs. I would assume this has something to do with the safety of the kill.
I have never tried to draw a compound bow. All the ones I have come by have been like 60-70 lbs which is nowhere near what I can draw.
So my question is: Does a 45 lbs feel the same on a longbow as a compound bow? Or is it easier to draw on a compound? If not, I might have to give up my dream of bow hunting, since I am never gonna be able to draw wooping 45 lbs with my spaghetti arms.
