Need Help with Arrow Selection

Hi All, Just trying to nail down my first custom arrow set. Have a 32' Draw length and using 72 inch bow at 28 lbs for now with intentions to change out to 30-32 lbs once my back muscles are built up. was wondering what kind of easton arrows (etc.) and thickness I should get. Thanks in advance submitted by /u/MattsunX [link] [comments] from newest submissions : Archery https://ift.tt/3xrX4Bz via

(Asiatic) Bow Poundage and Weight Lift

I’m aware that pull a bow engages back muscles more and lower poundage bows are better for developing correct form. But given that I’m on a budget, and I lift with two dumbbells, 30 lbs each (14 kg to be exact) for lateral raise and bicep curls daily. If I am to buy just one bow, how heavy should it be? I’m thinking about 40 lbs and I can pull 30 lbs bow with no problem. Thanks! submitted by /u/lun0619 [link] [comments] from newest submissions : Archery https://ift.tt/3DVSYEk via

Odd question : Bright colored riser vs visual distraction, is it a thing ?

As the title says, it might be an odd question from the newbie that I am but I am genuinely curious about this. I work in a a field where visual pollution/distraction is detrimental to my work, whether it's light or colors. I also am about to reach a point in my archery training where my club does not lend you a bow when you move from the beginners to the intermediate level and I am starting to look for buying a Olympic recurve bow for the first time in order to pursue my training classes. Once I'll find the right riser fitting my physiological need, the time to pick a color will come and being a fan of bright color (green, yellow, fluos etc...) I was wondering if it could be affecting my performance while aiming. Does a bright color riser distracts your eyes when trying to aim at your target ? Is it not recommended for beginners ? Do it makes a difference at all ? Thanks a lot. submitted by /u/alebrann [link] [comments] from newest submissions : Archery https...
