Hi folks,
I've gotten back into archery lately and have picked up trad archery specifically (coming from a compound background). Now, fletching and installing inserts for my own carbon/aluminium arrows has never been an issue for me. However I've never pieced together my own wooden arrows.
So today I ordered some POC shafts suited for my draw weight I'm using (30lbs on a bearpaw t/d) and have some 80g heads and traditional tapered nocks to go with them. (I might end up buying different pieces once I assemble and test a few first). My main concern is that I'm not sure if the nocks will require the arrow shafts to be tapered to fit, both are diameter 5/16 size. Also the tips are metal points with threads so is the best way to fit them is via using a bit of hot glue or gel and just screw them on or are there better methods?
Any help and advice is greatly appreciated, Shoot straight!
