Hello Everyone.
I’ve been looking at getting into Archery for a while and finally decided to pull the trigger. Been reading up on a lot of things for beginners, including the “first bow” posts on here.
I want to use a recurve, primarily for target shooting as a hobby, and maybe eventually using it to hunt (never been, but my uncle has been bugging me to go with him for a while).
I initially thought about getting one of the basic beginner recurves like the Samick Sage, but decided to get a little more advanced one that will last longer. Here’s what I plan on getting, and just looking for any comments or recommendations on other options, if there is anything I should avoid on here, or if there is anything additional I need to get to start.
Already signed up for lessons a few weeks out so hoping to get everything in before that (everything on this list is in stock).
- Sanlida Forged A7 riser (blue, 25”)
- Akusta Breeze Glass Foam Recurve Limbs, Med, 24# (pretty much the only one in stock at the draw weight I was looking for)
- Flex Archery PRO Recurve String
- Shibuya DX Pressure Button
- Avalon Tec One Sight
- Shibuya Ultima Recurve Rest
Extras - Avalon Bowstringer - Avalon Classic Flexible Arm Guard - Avalon Classic Quiver
Thanks!
