So there's this thing I noticed at my range but I don't want to appear rude in asking. I see fellow archers hold the arrow halfway down the shaft and clumsily try to nock the arrow. When I nock the arrow, I just hold it at the nock. It is so much easier to identify the nock point and you obviously have much more control than holding the arrow in the middle. So is it that they don't want to touch the string? I'm usually the first one done shooting and I step back and see my fellow archers taking forever to nock just one arrow. It perplexes me but obviously I don't want to say anything and seem like a jerk.
