I see people carry 5+ arrows when hunting. Why is this?
I understand 3. One miss, one hit, one just in case the initial shot didn’t do it. Surely no one is missing several times on the same hunt?
Also, why do they mount on the bow? If I have an arrow nocked and I’m carrying my climbing stand on my back, seems like I should have them on my back, and then on my stand once in the tree. Is there a situation in which you need quick and quiet access to a 2nd arrow?
I’m a newb so if these questions are stupid, that’s why. Just curious what the benefits are of mounting 5+ arrows on your bow
