Getting conflicting information about arrow selection. How to select?

So I've been looking at getting some DIY arrows but am getting some conflicting opinions from different places.

My intended arrow length is about 29" at 40# draw weight (39.3# otf to be precise), and I currently do Olympic Recurve for recreation. Based on Easton's target arrow selection chart, this falls right at the edge between T6 (36-40#) and T7 (40-44#). So the natural question is, do you error on the weak side or stiff side?

I've heard opinions for both. Folks on archerytalk seems to tend to buy stiffer arrows. This means T7 group in my situation. My understanding is that this allows you to buy longer arrows that you can cut shorter later on if you move up in draw weight? But I'm happy with my current draw weight so this doesn't provide upside for me (until maybe my gear acquisition syndrome strikes again LOL). Also T7 group no longer has Inspire; and Carbon One/Avance are pricier.

OTOH Lancaster's customer service told me that Easton arrows tend to be on the stiffer end, so going a step down to T6 should be the choice instead. I've never used Easton arrows before so can't tell whether this applies for all arrows.

Ideally one would need to try both and see, but the closest pro shop with a range I can do some fitting is far and needs a long drive, so I want to make sure I do some homework before taking a trip.

I'm curious what folks on this forum think, and what the reasons behind going on the weak or stiff side. And what other factors you consider when getting new arrows?

Shibuya vs Axcel vs other top end sights?

So my budget has increased and i decided i'm going for a top-level sight for the target style recurve i'm building. It seems that Shibuya and Axcel are the top end, so for anyone who has experience with either one of them, or preferably both, could you tell me the differences, pros and cons, and which one is the best value? i'm planning on buying the most expensive, so the Axcel Achieve XP - Recurve or the Shibuya Ultima RC PRO Carbon Sight . If there's any other top end sights you think are better, let me know. I want this to be the first and last sight that i ever buy, and price doesn't really matter. Another question, on the Shibuya there's an option for "Single mount" and "Double mount." What do those mean? And lastly, is the sight aperture on either of the sights suitable, or is there better after-market apertures that are better? I'm sort of thinking that is something I should be buying from my local shop so i can actually te...

Is there any reason mediterranean and slavic draw shoot from opposite sides of the bow

When the release imparts the same twist on the string? It was my understanding that mediterranean draw has the arrow on the side opposite of the bow of the draw hand because of the twist imparted on the string affecting the arrow on release but that should mean that slavic draw would suffer from that problem. Am I missing something with this? Shouldn't that mean you could use a mediterranean draw on the same side of the bow as the draw hand and not have issues? Recurve string hitting wrist area...

Hi, I just upgraded my 26lb to a 40lb bow, I'm loving it's power but I am having a consistent issue with hitting my wrist with the string every time I full draw, never with half draw, please see: https://imgur.com/sltnRTI I have tried different hand positions, like rotating my wrist away from the strings path but it just feels so unsteady when drawing. I don't feel like I'm holding it majorly wrong, I never encountered this issue with my 26lb so I'm a little confused about what the cause may be. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am still pretty nooby with archery so perhaps I am just dumb. I believe my brace height is 7.5 inches if that helps, it is a 70" bow, my hand is comfortable on the grip when drawing, it isnt majorly up or down, and looks straight to me, and like i say, rotating it away just leaves me with little control over the bow. Edit: My string is a 70" string, the riser for my new bow is 1" longer than my 26lb...
