Where do I start?

My partner just got me (23F) a bow and some arrows for Christmas. Super sweet and thoughtful, as it allows me to take up yet another physical activity after I've gotten into paddle boarding, bouldering, biking, hiking, weightlifting, and running over the past several years.

But I don't even know where to begin. Should I budget for classes, or are there good self-learning resources? How do I find ranges? (I live between Austin and DC/Vienna, if anyone has specific recommendations.) how much should I expect to spend on classes/range access? What kind of gym exercises are helpful for archery? (Thinking about peg boards and push days and cuff rotator exercises for bouldering.) What about equipment maintenance?

If anyone has some helpful resources or tips from your early days, I would be greatly appreciative!

Shibuya vs Axcel vs other top end sights?

So my budget has increased and i decided i'm going for a top-level sight for the target style recurve i'm building. It seems that Shibuya and Axcel are the top end, so for anyone who has experience with either one of them, or preferably both, could you tell me the differences, pros and cons, and which one is the best value? i'm planning on buying the most expensive, so the Axcel Achieve XP - Recurve or the Shibuya Ultima RC PRO Carbon Sight . If there's any other top end sights you think are better, let me know. I want this to be the first and last sight that i ever buy, and price doesn't really matter. Another question, on the Shibuya there's an option for "Single mount" and "Double mount." What do those mean? And lastly, is the sight aperture on either of the sights suitable, or is there better after-market apertures that are better? I'm sort of thinking that is something I should be buying from my local shop so i can actually te...

Is there any reason mediterranean and slavic draw shoot from opposite sides of the bow

When the release imparts the same twist on the string? It was my understanding that mediterranean draw has the arrow on the side opposite of the bow of the draw hand because of the twist imparted on the string affecting the arrow on release but that should mean that slavic draw would suffer from that problem. Am I missing something with this? Shouldn't that mean you could use a mediterranean draw on the same side of the bow as the draw hand and not have issues?
