Hello archery community,
After a 3 years pause for my school, I am going back to my best hobby : archery. I bought a recurve Olympic bow to put me back on tracks but I am a compound shooter first. I did FITA and indoor target competitions for a long time before and now I want to try 3D and field archery, I'm bored with FITA shooting.
My question concerns the choice of my future compound bow, I have a quite good budget, around 2500 euros for the bow and sight/stabilization. But I don't know if I'd better take a hunting bow (faster and short ATA) or a pure target bow (long ATA and maybe a little shorter). I am not a hunter at all, only target shooter.
I really like brands like Hoyt, Mathews and Elite but I am also open to any other brand like PSE or Bowtech for example.
I don't mind going for a less pricey bow, because I will need it to be forgiving, with a wide draw length range and also a wide poundage range.
Thank you for your time and advices !
