So hopefully long story short I found out this past week or so that I torque my bow. How I found this out. I needed new cables, was shooting through paper at my shop and the tech could shoot bullet holes. I couldn't. The owner could shoot bullet holes. I couldn't. You might say it is just my bow. NOPE. I shot the owners bow which he shot bullets, I couldn't. I will say I can very consistently shoot 5-10 arrows through paper with the same 4 o'clock tear, like everytime. So whatever I do wrong, I'm consistent. They set my bow to center, where they were shooting bullet holes, and left it, by my request. I have been trying to remedy whatever I am doing "wrong" with my grip and no matter what I do or what they thought I should try, or what teachings can be found online, I cannot shoot bullet holes with a "tuned" bow. I did break that wrist as a kid and despite not really noticing lack of movement, this may have something to do with it. The only way I can shoot a hole is if I touch the front of the riser with my finger tips and pull left, steering the bow left. I know I can tune the bow to me, humble brag I have a robinhood at 60 yards with this bow, so I know it will shoot well, but would like to not have to jack the rest left if I can remedy the issue with grip. Any suggestions are welcome. I've thought about adding tape or something to the right side of the grip to build it up??? I may just have to be the guy who needs his bow "out of tune", but tuned to me.
