Um, am I the asshole if I want a refund? (The Longbow Shop purchase)

Hi /r/Archery, so back in early april I ordered a Blackfoot Bearpaw bow from The Longbow Shop UK in #40. I have still yet to receive anything.

Over the course of these nearly 5 months, I've asked for 5 updates. On average it takes 2/3 days for an email reply and i've basically gotten the runaround everytime saying that the bow is being custom made and requires time. But it's been five months. I was told originally it would take 8-10 weeks (so late June at the latest) and the last email had said mid-late august (emailed in mid JULY) for shipping at the latest.

Today, on Aug 30, I get an email from asking where my bow is last Friday. All it says is, "i've been on vacation, ask Pip" and an email to someone at bickerstaff bows.

Honestly, I'm having a hard time even wanting to give my money at this point with how unclear they've been through everything and I am worried if there is a problem, shipping will be a royal pain (as im in the states). The whole reason I bought from them in the first place was because they advertised they had the bow at the # but then some days after I ordered, they emailed saying they didn't. I get COVID makes everything a pain in the ass but i've been given the runaround so many times I'm just angry at them now.

If you were me, would you stick through the order, or just cancel (which i've tried to do twice and theyve managed to somehow get information on my bow's location the two times i've asked) and look for something else?]

Edit: Also, anyone have any recommendations for an American Longbow/flatbow in the $200-$300 range? Since it seems like trying to get a Blackfoot is a failure.

I would take a takedown recurve bow as my primary SHTF/bugout weapon

This is the type of opinion that is subject to change. In the near future, deteriorating political, economic, and social circumstances may result in many people having to rely on weapons to obtain food and defend themselves on a regular basis. Alternately, some people desire to leave civilization for a life of self-sufficiency in the wilderness, perhaps temporarily, and will encounter the same challenges. Generally, firearms are the preferred weapons among people who seek to prepare themselves for these events. I have owned and used a wide variety of firearms over many years and own several right now. If I had to pick one weapon to serve as a primary weapon (a full-size weapon intended to be used offensively, such as for hunting, and carried in the hand or by sling as opposed to a secondary weapon, which is complimentary, used defensively and carried on-person and possibly concealed, such as a handgun) I just might prefer my ILF recurve over any kind of rifle or shotgun. Having Trouble Figuring out a Backstop Situation

When I was around thirteen, I got my first recurve bow, and every weekend I practiced really diligently. I feel like I got pretty good for a casual archer. But having to wait for the weekend and going to the same indoor range just to shoot my bow for an hour or two got boring. So as life got busier, I stopped shooting as much. Alas, this is my sad tale. Now I'm 22, I live in a new area, and got a new awesome 50# recurve bow! The only problem is, I don't have the time or the money to go to an indoor range, and I'd just run into the same problem. I feel like my backyard is big enough, I called the city and they said so long as I'm not shooting at other people's houses or if I have a large enough structure in the path of my shot, I was clear to shoot in my yard. At the moment I'm looking at shooting at the side of my garage where it's probably around 10ft wide and about as tall. I don't think I have quite 30ft of distance, maybe not even 25ft, but don'
