Hi everyone, I checked the FAQ and didn't see any questions like this that had been answered so I figured I'd post here.
I feel like I'm going through strings faster than normal. I use a PSE Nighthawk at 62" and a 45 lb draw weight. I have a fairly minimalist setup (no sights, plungers, stabilisers, etc) and noticed that the serving around the limb tips seems to be fraying pretty quickly when I shoot. I shoot about once a week and have to replace strings every 6 months to a year. From what I've read on here and other places a string (when properly cared for) should last longer than that but I could be wrong.
There's two leading theories I have for why this is happening. The first is that the grooves where the string wraps around the limb tips are too sharp and are cutting into the serving therefore causing it to fray faster. I tried temporarily adding some adhesive felt to soften the edge but I haven't been using this method long enough to be able to tell if it's working yet.
The other theory I had is that I might be overdrawing my bow. I do have pretty long arms but based on the way my shop cuts the arrows and measures it appears to be about the right draw length when I draw. I also figure they got that part right when they sold me the bow.
I've attached some pictures of the limb tips with the felt, without the felt, and pictures of the string to see if anyone else has experienced something similar or has answers.

Note: The serving probably looks weird because I read somewhere that they usually burn the ends of the serving to connect the loop. So I tried to burn the frayed bits back together and my burn job on it looks terrible haha.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
