i have an old wood/fiberglass recurve that's 29 pounds at 28 inches, which is my draw length.
when I plug my info into this dynamic spine calculator it says I need a super heavy tip, around 250 gr, in order to make it balance out with my pretty average, normal weight bow, for the 600 spine carbon arrows that I use, and in fact for most 600 spine carbon arrows listed there.
is that correct? i've used 125-150 gr target points for a long time and my arrows seem to fly just fine. 125 seems to be the standard weight that a lot of people use. but should I get the extra heavy tips, bc this spine calculator tells me to? that seems like it would give me a super high FOC.
