Hi! I have started to dip into the world of making my own wooden arrows (there was a workshop at my club about it and found it pretty interesting). I wonder if anybody knows of a good guide where they explain carefully how to choose the arrow side for the cock feather. I know that it should be parallel to the wood veins and that on one side the arrow will be stiff and the other soft but I cannot memorize a good rule when marking the shafts. Additionally… spine testers: DIY or cheap commercial o es that you would recommend (and available in Continental Europe)? Thanks!
